Dear Good Shepherd Friend:,

Isaiah 43:19 says it this way:  “See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”  That’s the verse we’ll use to conclude the Undone series.

Why?  Here’s why:  some of us come undone, not as a result of a crisis or disaster, but simply out of boredom, routine, and ruts.  I believe that this Sunday will help free me, you, and all of us from the ruts in which we find ourselves.

Speaking of things that are new and full of adventure, beginning next week (May 4) we’ll have a new look for our Sunday worship guide.  It will be smaller – you can fit it in your bible – and less “newsy.”  The visuals will be bold and vibrant.

We’ll supplement that new guide with a weekly e-newsletter that will give you all the news you’ve been accustomed to from the bulletin – church calendar items, event announcements, and even the worship attendance and offering figures.  Look for that in your email boxes next week.

The new style worship guide goes with our next message series:  NUMB3RS – Messages on Revelation.  It will be unlike any series we’ve ever done.  Or any you’ve ever seen.  We’ll look at this strange book through the lens of its numbers.  As in:

May 4:   Seven Churches
May 11: 666
May 18: 0 Raptures (Really?)
May 25: 1,000 Year Reign
June 1:  144,000 Saints

It’s going to be fun.

Talbot

P.S. – Please put this on your calendar: we have a Healing Service on Monday, May 5 at 7:00 p.m.  Thanks.
