As we Walk Together, we need to remember that Christians are not called to be buckets. Instead, we are "pipes."

What do we mean by pipes and buckets? Even though we have a growing milestone, we are not called to receive and receive and grow and grow. Instead, we receive so that we might give. We grow so that we might serve. Buckets collect. Pipes are instead conduits which carry material (water, gas, oil) from one location to another. We are to do the same with God's grace, love, and power.

All this is a way of saying that we invite the people of Good Shepherd to make their lives count by volunteering in ministry in the church and to the world. We have a number of strategic opportunities for you to be in service in a way that builds the church and impacts the kingdom. As they say in Spiderman: "with great power comes great responsibility."
