November 9-November 30

Love

It’s been hijacked by Hallmark; marketed and sold to the highest bidder.

It’s been distorted by people around us; overused, and undervalued. Love has been robbed of its power and stripped of its beauty.

But love is at the center of who God is and what God does.

Come to think of it, we too, are at the center of who God is and what God does. In other words, as much as we are “expressers and “explainers” of love, we are objects of it.

Every day we strive and strain to earn love, to deserve it, to win it. But the truth is, love that is God-sized, is beyond what we can do, or make, or design. We are loved relentlessly and completely, simply because God chooses to find us “loveable”.

You are already the object of the greatest affection you will ever encounter. Maybe it’s time you stopped and simply received. Today, read it in black and white:

You are loved.
